Social media can help companies go green


Social media is the key to building buzz around corporate sustainability operations, writes Matthew Yeomans. While some big companies — General Electric, Dell, Pepsi — are already using social channels to tout their environmental efforts, about 60% of firms haven’t yet connected the dots. “The most successful social-media sustainability communicators all are demonstrating how their companies can be useful to the greater community and they’re doing it in a way that allows true community participation and feedback,” Yeomans writes.  Advertising Age (tiered subscription model)/DigitalNext blog
