Group: Marketers get message on “Christmas” marketing


The number of retailers using “Christmas” instead of “holiday” in their seasonal ads since 2005 has increased to 80% from 20%, according to conservative group American Family Association. The group this year is urging its 2.3 million members to boycott Dick’s Sporting Goods, which is advertising an online “Holiday Shop.”  Advertising Age (tiered subscription model)
