Facebook’s new messaging system has the potential to create interesting synergies between social media and e-mail marketing, writes Kipp Bodnar. Social-media teams will need to pay more attention to e-mail, Bodnar argues, while e-mail marketers will need to show a lot more social savvy. “With a social inbox to help prioritize message delivery, email needs to become a more socially-driven communication channel,” he writes.
