Research shows challenges of marketing healthy foods


Nearly three in four consumers believe their supermarket carries “healthful” items, but just half say the store “helps me make healthy food choices” and just over one in three say the stores do the same for children, according to research from Catalina Marketing. About four in 10 consumers also say the stores are lacking in supplying information to address “specific health concerns,” and nearly eight in 10 believe healthy products “generally cost more.”  Adweek
