Deal or no deal? Facebook would rather not say


Facebook is reportedly preparing to launch a “Deals” service that would allow businesses to offer tailored discounts and promotions when customers use Facebook Places to check in to their physical store. The system, which would offer brands avenues to incentivize location-based check-ins, is reported to be undergoing testing with a limited number of partners.
