Web firms reinvent the focus group


Businesses are taking brainstorming to a whole new level thanks to consulting firms such as Napkin Labs and Trada that link clients to thousands of people who can provide ideas and feedback on even the most vexing issues. The process relies on crowdsourcing, which distributes a task to a community of experts who are paid based on their contributions.
