When corporate social-media policies go wrong


The firing of a CNN editor over an ill-advised tweet sends Lydia Dishman to investigate the formal policies of eight major companies in search of the most draconian social rule book around. The results are mixed: CNN fares poorly, but companies such as Intel and Best Buy get good reviews for their clear, respectful policies, she writes. “Social media guidelines are more prevalent and important than ever, but there is little consistency in the policies,” Dishman notes.  FastCompany.com
