Research shows importance of wireless Internet to blacks, Hispanics

Nearly two in three African-Americans surf the Web using their laptops or mobile devices, compared with 59% of all adults, the Pew Internet and American Life Project is reporting. Meanwhile, Hispanics are bigger consumers of mobile applications, send and receive more e-mails, and buy more things on the mobile Web than African-Americans or whites. “The mobile population is becoming more diverse over time, and more people are relying on their cell phones as their primary form of wireless connectivity,” said Aaron Smith, author of the Pew report.  Washington Post, The/Post Tech blog
