How Twitter search can benefit marketers

Marketers can use Twitter real-time search to reach out directly to potential customers, either by monitoring relevant queries on the microblog themselves or by creating tools to do it automatically, according to participants at the Search Engine Expo in Seattle. “A human doesn’t have to have a hand in it, but it’s still a good idea to monitor it in case someone sends back a question,” said Chris Silver Smith, director of optimization strategy at KeyRelevance.  PC World/IDG News Service
