Is location next in line for a privacy crisis?


Foursquare’s privacy problems aren’t attracting as much attention as Facebook’s, but they’re just as real, writes Erick Schonfeld. Automated check-ins are the future of geo-sharing, Schonfeld writes, but that will necessarily require reducing user control over how and when that information is shared. “Do you want ease of use or do you want control? Somehow these companies are going to have to give us both,” Schonfeld argues.  TechCrunch
