Spending on Web video ads to exceed $1.3 billion


Advertisers are on track to spend more than $1.3 billion on Internet video advertisements in 2010, according to Parks Associates. Much of that is due to refined targeting abilities — which Parks’ research indicates nearly half of 18-to-34s don’t seem to mind. “Indifference indicates consumers can be won over by new advertising strategies, provided these messages are designed well, with truly relevant content,” said Parks’ Heather Way. “The younger age groups are more receptive to the concept of targeted advertising.”  MediaPost Communications/Online Media Daily
