TiVo to supply Google advertisers with set-top data

TiVo has joined forces with Google to provide the search-engine giant with second-by-second viewership data for advertisers using the Google TV Ads tool. The deal adds data from 3.6 million set-tops to the Google ad platform and enables marketers “to understand which audiences and ads are most effective, which we think will ultimately lead to more relevant ads for viewers,” according to Mike Steib, director of emerging platforms at Google.  Mediaweek
