Firms let fans write their ads


IBM, Harrah’s Entertainment and Microsoft are creating traditional ads based partially on comments by their online fan base. They continue monitoring the video and print ads after publishing them to gauge how they are received on social sites, and then improve upon them. “Being relevant to consumers is the way to communicate about your brands,” says Monica Sullivan, Harrah’s vice president of advertising.  The Wall Street Journal
