Rising social-media use threatens enterprise network security


Social media is being actively used on the enterprise networks of most organizations, according to a report by Palo Alto Networks. The more popular applications are those that allow collaboration, such as Facebook, Twitter and SharePoint — all of which are used on about 90% of business networks. Because many of these tools are browser-based, they raise security concerns about data leaks and malware, the report notes.  Dark Reading
